Local superficial HT

Superficial hyperthermia is used in combination with radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or both, to treat cancerous tumors up to 2.5 cm deep.
Phased array radio waves allow heat to be delivered to a precisely outlined area of the body.

Main indications to superficial hyperthermia are:

  • Breast cancer
  • Head & Neck
  • Squamous or basal-cell carcinoma
  • Malignant melanoma
  • Prostate cancer
  • Tumors of the smaller pelvis area (cervix, rectum, anus, bladder, etc.)
  • Esophageal cancer
  • Sarcomas and lymphomas
    … and, in general, solid tumors located in small depth under the skin surface
